Removable tongue wheel

The trailer started off at 1,200 lbs (empty) now with the additions it is heaver than that.  It was a pain to move because the tongue weight is heavy with the position of the axel and the (3) batteries.  The solution was to ad a removable wheel:

When I got the trailer it had the receiver mounts on the trailer but it was missing the legs themselves.  the trailer tipped backwards once and scared the crap out of me.  So the first project was to notch out  a 2x4 and use it as a rear stabilizer.

Then we made better ones:

We messed up on the pads we built they hinge the wrong way.  Easy fix instead of using the existing holes,we drilled new ones.  If you look close it is fixed in later photos.

Solar-powered circulation fan

The first idea I had was to purchase and place a small game camera behind the small round glass.  I talked my self out of that because of the cost.  I stumbled across an old 6" DC fan I used to use for my hoop house.  I used an old solar panel to power it, and it worked really well.  In this case I plan to use a smaller 4" DC fan that will be wired into the solar combiner box.  When the sun is out it will use a small amount of power to move the fan.  My thoughts are this will help cool the trailer in the summer.  I know by changing the color from white to khaki it will also change the amount of heat generated.  In the winter time the fan will help dry out the inside and hopefully keep my gear from getting to musty smelling.

Mount internal LED ceiling light

I had to wait until I got the back table finished to place the light.  I wanted to make sure it can shine through the window to light up the table at night.

it is enough to find stuff in the trailer at night, but I wanted more light.  I got some #921 led bulbs and a RV dome light.

I'm using the PVC to hold the light fixture up so I can find the best location to mount it.

Tongue-mounted storage basket

Here is the progress so far.  I the first photos show what my early vision for the rack on the tongue-rack.  I wanted it to hold My generator, gas, and propane.  I decided to keep the generator inside the unit away from prying eyes.

The trailer jack has to have room to rotate inside the rack area, so a fully enclosed or mesh basket will not work.

thinking about mounting my generator on the front.   but I rethought it.

considered mounting 2 260 amp hour 6volt batteries on the front, but decided I would just wait and get (3) 105 amp hour 12v batteries and mount them in the trailer using the original battery mounts.
